This month, we are exploring Sangiovese. Sangiovese wines offer a wide range of tastes from very earthy and rustic – to round and fruit-forward. Regardless of where it’s grown, it always exhibits cherry flavors with more subtle notes of tomato. We’ll be tasting from 7 selections from Italy. We also were privileged to taste a new San Francisco Bay Area winemaker, Phillip Cuadra’s, 2014 Albariño Rorick Vineyard Calaveras County (Highlawn Wine Company).
