the 75th Tasting – Cab-Syrah

We celebrated our 75th tasting and our flight was Cab/Syrah & Syrah/Cab blends from Australia, Chile, United States and Bulgaria. The two varieties blend well because ‘while Cabernet retains life and freshness…its legendary “hole in the middle” is filled texturally by the sweet fruit of Shiraz’. – Brian Croser, Australian Winemaker
